Project Management Success Factor Marketing
Communication / Involvement / Project Marketing
One of the most under-estimated and usually neglected critical success
factors for projects is Communication.
- We believe that most projects could be more successful if they
communicated properly.
- Communication is not only something you do with your management to keep
them informed about the progress, but actually is the instrument to
achieve end-user identification and satisfaction even before roll-out.
- The key to success is user-involvement in the entire project course from
the requirements process to end-user test and training sessions.
- "Do good and talk about it!" - This is the main idea behind project
marketing. Any product (and the result of a project usually is a product of
some kind) requires advertisement to sell. Therefore also projects need to
be sold to the future user community. Including a "sales campaign" into the
development and rollout-phases of a project increases user acceptance and
reduces the risk of a project failure.
- Project marketing also provides an opportunity for an organization to
perform a "reality check" of required functionality.
